"Buying T-I-M-E"...When the Money is Running Out...

Buying “T-I-M-E” is a community outreach program which focuses on four (4) key aspects of consumer response to a pending housing crisis:

  a. Exploring ideas to expand and/or restrict expenses
  b. Broad understanding of the options available to avert foreclosure
  c. Speciic coverage of the foreclosure process in your state
  d. Strategies for dealing effectively with your financial institution

Buying "T-I-M-E" has been presented in several states beginning in the Spring of 2009 and is a key component of the educational outreach effort of Home Ownership Matters Preservation Center, Inc.

COST: This training is FREE for all attendees
INTENT: Avert foreclosures
METHOD: Educational outreach

ATTENDEES will learn:

Important initial steps to improve their chances of keeping their home

GOAL:

To give enough information for attendees to help themselves; whether or not they are able to reach a counseling agency

ROLE of a partner:

Contract directly with HOMPCI to sponsor the event

Sponsor shall agree to cover travel and lodging for trainer, as well as cost of training materials

Sponsor shall be in charge of securing a facility for the training

Provide advanced marketing utilizing flyers and other pieces crafted by HOMPCI

Seek to engage local media as a way to further reach the community at large
